Welcome to Bassometry!

We’re currently under early stage of construction as I fine-tune the experience and initial content. Official launch coming ~ 25th August 2025.
//04.08.2025 - Review flow and evaluations refined. Working on content and reviews.
//01.08.2025 - New (Intermediate) speaker clamping rig done.
//01.07.2025 - New speaker clamping rig in the works.
//20.6.2025 - Gathering data on first speakers
//16.6.2025 - Refining test procedures upon new discoveries of "test needs".
//15.6.2025 - Gathering first speakers for tests
Stay tuned!
We´re going deep!
That’s it! I snapped.
After sifting through a handful of vague ‘boomy bass’ reviews, finding zero real coverage of the speaker I actually wanted, and hitting a wall of silence from most manufacturers, I knew something had to be done.
Sparse specs, few vital measurements, no support, buzzwords and marketing fluff or incomplete data at best. I was done, so I started digging. Hunting for real information. That’s when I rediscovered the glory days of platforms like data-bass - obsessive, technical, uncompromising. And then I watched it fade into silence...
That’s when it hit me: If no one else is going to carry the torch, I might as well. So here we are.

Welcome to the bass pit, where decibels are worshipped and cones are punished! A new speaker review platform that connects lab-grade testing with real-world evaluation, designed for anyone who hears below 100Hz and demands more.
A platform that is overbuilt with nanosmooth resonance enhancers, seamless space-grade hyperintegration, and ultra-powerful subsonic waveform AI, powered by quantum tuned algorithms and calibrated using just enough caffeine to make acoustical waveticles cry.

This is where I stand: There will be woofer and subwoofer reviews, with "one off" articles, reviews and odd/educational inputs. The test process for speaker review is very optimized for revealing of practical driver behavior, and is nearly "complete", especially regarding electro-machanical testing of a speaker. I am open to insights and upgrades, but not every kind of test will make it to the procedure.

Klippel is a powerful tool - no doubt. But without the full reports (which few produce, and fewer can interpret anyway), its practical value can be limited. I’ll aim to include Kms(x) and Bl(x) curves in future tests, but let’s be honest: those aren’t usually what drive speaker purchases. At the moment, the outcomes of such measurements with DIY approach are very unstable. Various drivers deviate greatly with measured data compared to manufacturer supplied reports and Klippel setup is unreachable for me at this moment. But I will certainly strive to get this up and running.

Bassometry will run on a subscription model to help keep the platform sustainable and the content truly high-quality. The goal is to independently purchase and test more than a dozen of in-demand drivers each year, using advanced equipment and a rigorous test process.
That kind of work takes time, tools, and support. While I’m deeply invested in making it happen, I can’t carry the full load alone. If you find value in what I do, I hope it’s worth the price of a good dinner.
